Travel by car from points south:
- Take I-95 N (crossing into Maine)
- Merge onto I-295 via exit 44 toward South Portland/Downtown Portland
- Take 1-295 toward Bath/Brunswick about 28.2 miles
- Take US- 1 exit 28 toward Coastal Route/Brunswick/Bath
- Stay straight to go onto US-1 N
- Take US-1 N to “Historic Bath Downtown” exit ramp
- At base of ramp, continue straight through light and bear right toward the Bath Visitors Center onto Commercial Street
- Travel .4 miles on Commercial Street
Travel by car from points north:
- Take US-1 S from Camden/Damariscotta/Wiscasset to Woolwich, Maine
- Cross Sagadahoc Bridge over Kennebec River
- Bear right for Downtown Bath exit
- Turn right onto Front Street
- Turn right onto Lambard Street
- Turn left onto Commercial Street
- Travel .3 miles on Commercial Street
Travel by boat from Boothbay Harbor:
- Travel across the Sheepscot River west
- Pass through Goose Rock Passage north of MacMahan Island to Knubble Bay
- Travel west across Knubble Bay to the Back River
- Travel north on Back River Hockomock Bay and Hell's Gate
- Travel north on the Sasanoa River
- Pass under the Arrowsic Bridge
- Travel north on Kennebec River past Bath Iron Works and under Sagadahoc Bridge
